| Overview | The Korea Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MKE) announced on August 25, 2008 that the National Standards Committee will implement a new national unified certification mark from July 2009 to December 2010 with the name "KC Mark". The new logo is called KC Mark and stands for Korea Certification. The current 13 mandatory signs will eventually be unified under this new sign. One of the results of this move is to reduce the cost of the supplier's certification fees and make Korea KC Mark gradually become a world brand certification. However, there is a drawback. The recently announced KCC logo will only be implemented for a few years and will eventually be unified under this new KC logo. |
| Range | KC Mark Certification Products List According to the "Korean Electrical Appliance Safety Management Law," the electrical appliance safety certification has been classified into mandatory certification and self-regulatory (voluntary) certification since January 1, 2009. Mandatory certification means that all electronic products that belong to mandatory products must be KC Mark certified before they can be sold on the Korean market. Each year they need to undergo factory inspection and product sampling test. Self-discipline (voluntary) certification means that all electronic products that belong to a voluntary product need only be tested and certified and do not need to be subject to factory inspection. The certificate is valid for 5 years. |
